Dentures
Dentures are either removable or fixed prosthetic devices used to replace missing teeth and surrounding tissues. They are custom-made to fit the individual's mouth and provide support for the cheeks and lips while restoring the ability to chew and speak.
Who Needs A Denture?
If you have some or all of your teeth missing as a result of decay or gum disease, you may choose to replace them with a denture.
Benefits Of Dentures

Restore smiles and facial appearance
-
Improve chewing efficiency
-
Restore speech ability
-
An economical option to replace missing teeth
What To Expect When Getting A Denture?
-
Initial Consultation: The dentist assesses the patient's oral health, takes impressions, and discusses the type of denture that best suits their needs.
-
Impressions and Measurements: Precise impressions of the patient's mouth are taken to ensure a snug fit. Measurements are recorded to replicate natural tooth alignment and facial structure.
-
Trial Fittings: The patient tries on a wax model of the denture to assess fit, appearance, and comfort. Adjustments are made as needed.
-
Final Fitting: Once adjustments are complete, the final denture is fabricated. The dentist ensures proper fit, bite, and appearance before providing the denture to the patient.
Adapting To New Dentures
When a new denture is fitted, it is normal that it may feel strange at first, as your mouth and muscles are adapting to it. While eating and speaking may require a little practice, it will improve overtime.
